Donations and Sponsorship
i Coristi is proud to have strong roots within the community and has sung for events and organizations such as: Arthritis Society, DieNasty, Musical Therapy Association, Newly United Operatic Vocalists' Association, Other Voices, Shakespeare in the Park, and others. The choir also regularly performs at a series of Extended Care Facilities throughout Edmonton on a journey entitled "Music to Your Door". Finally, i Coristi is an active participant of the Edmonton Food Bank initiative.
We are a registered charitable organization and apply for operating grants from the City of Edmonton and the Province of Alberta. Our other main sources of revenue are membership dues paid annually by each choir member, concert ticket sales, and carolling performances done in the Christmas season. These means of sustaining ourselves financially cover only the most basic season activities. However, in the past three years we have begun to grow significantly, and various means of fundraising have helped us to launch our two CD's, go on tour, and participate in such prestigious events as Podium 2002 and 2004.
We are tremendously grateful to all the individuals and organizations who chose to support i Coristi in its fundraising efforts. As with any donation we are happy to write a tax receipt for your charitable donation.
